Great plant, grows really fast. With a lot of light, your leaves will be bright pink. Good plant to add some color to your tank. This is a good low-light plant also. I have it growing in my low-light setup and it has a beautiful red color on the leaves that I never saw when I had it in my high-light set up. This is a great plant for a beginner. I have it in my aquarium and it is easier to achieve the red tone leaves when the plant grows closer to the surface. Easy to grow and propagate in almost any light. Under high light, the leaves have less red and it also tends to grow horizontally into open areas.

Indian waterweed first appeared in the aquarium trade in 1945 under the name “oriental ludwigia”.It is easy to grow and as such a very popular plant for the tropical aquarium. It will grow even faster in good light, a nutriment rich water / substrate and it benefits from additional CO2. May need to be pruned regularly. Propagated from cuttings. An isolated leaf will often root itself.
